Overview

Computree platform

Computree is an open-source, collaborative platform (licensed under the LGPL) managed by the Research, Development, and Innovation Department of the French National Forestry Office (Office National des Forêts - ONF).

Its goal is to process remote sensing data through processing pipelines, extracting or calculating key information used to characterize and study natural environments, with a particular focus on forests.

The platform supports a wide range of data types, including point clouds, 3D geometric shapes (cylinders, spheres, etc.), raster or vector GIS formats, and 3D meshes.

Designed with modularity in mind, the platform allows users to build custom processing pipelines by chaining together individual steps, each performing a specific data processing task.

The graphical user interface (ComputreeGui) enables users to build these pipelines and thoroughly explore the intermediate 3D results of each step.

The batch interface (ComputreeBatch) allows pipelines to be executed via the command line, without a graphical interface.

Computree is available for Windows, Linux (Debian and RedHat), and macOS.

A Modular and Scalable Platform

Computree operates on a plugin-based system, allowing new data processing features to be seamlessly integrated.
Any partner wishing to contribute to the platform can propose one or more plugins.
